The Stevens,* a middle-aged couple, had lived in their two-story colonial house in Upper Chichester township for over eight years. In late summer of 2006, Mr. Stevens was offered a transfer with Boeing Helicopter to Florida. Boeing offered some relocation assistance and the Stevens had but a short time to make a decision. The Stevens had heard Piedmont’s ad on KYW radio and called for more information.

The two-story, vinyl-sided colonial on a ½-acre lot needed extensive cosmetic upgrade to go to market, which presented a problem. The Stevens did not want to invest the money or the time, and they were concerned they might miss the opportunity to move south if they were tied to selling the house.

Piedmont agreed to purchase the property at a date and time that would work for the couple. In fact, the date was changed twice to accommodate the Stevens evolving schedule. They were able to move when the relocation was most convenient, and they didn’t have to worry about fixing up the house or leaving it in broom-clean condition. The Stevens were pleased with Piedmont’s flexibility and the ease of the transaction.
