Sagging floor means it’s time to move

The Richmans* were happy when they first bought their split level home in Downingtown, but they soon realized that the house was hiding structural defects.  Their life became one of constant home repairs, and they grew weary.  However, when they decided they wanted to move, they realized that the house needed major repairs before it could even be put on the market.

Undersized lumber had been used in the original construction.  Among the necessary work were structural repairs to floor joists and roof rafters, as well as cosmetic improvements throughout including flooring, bath and kitchen upgrades.

After seeing an ad in the local newspaper, the Richmans contacted Piedmont . The floor in their home was sagging. Potential contractors quoted significant time and money, as well as a big disruption to the Richmans' lives. They wanted to purchase a newer house without "old construction" issues.

After comparing Piedmont’s "as is" offer to the process to repair and market the home conventionally, the Richmans decided that Piedmont provided the best option for them to leave the headache of the old home behind and make the desired change. They subsequently worked with a Piedmont agent to find a new home. They were able to find the house they wanted and settle both transactions conveniently to allow for an easy transition.
